Friday Sessions #2: ‘Make it better, do it faster’ – ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,’ Daft Punk
It’s going to be impossible not to dance, (or at least move around,) to today’s Friday Session. Comparatives have never sounded so cool than with this Daft Punk track: ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’.
Remember that not all comparative adjectives are formed in the same way. Here we have some easy examples adding ‘-er’, but remember that ‘Better’ has an irregular form. Here’s a little reminder:
Adjectives: Hard, Good, Fast, Strong
Comparatives: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
Superlatives: The Hardest, The Best, The Fastest, The Strongest
*For an extra challenge, see if you can also sing along to this track. (It’s great for pronunciation practice, moving your mouth quickly to the sounds of English words.)
And did you spot the homophone? Hour & Our.
Lyrics
Work it. Make it. Do it. Makes us
Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger
More than Hour, Our, Never
Ever. After. Work is. Over
Work it. Make it. Do it. Makes us
Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger
Work it harder
Make it better
Do it faster
Makes us stronger
More than ever. hour after.
Our work is. Never over
Work it harder
Make it better
Do it faster
Makes us stronger
More than ever
Hour after
Our work is
Never over
Work it harder
Make it better
Do it faster
Makes us stronger
More than ever
Hour after
Our work is
Never over
(Continued…….repeat, repeat…..)
